La Consolacion College of Rinconada Iriga Campus celebrates its Paltinum year with the theme “Celebrating with Joy and Thanksgiving: A Legacy of LCC-I Community at 70.” As it highlighted the Filipino culture in its Field Demo and Cultural Show presentations held last January 30 and 31, 2019.
The celebration was started by a Dawn procession at 4 in the morning and a Mass at exactly at 6:30 in the morning. It was then followed by the parade with the Majorettes, Minorettes, DLC band both elementary and high school, students with their festive costumes, teachers and personnel. After the parade and after officially starting the opening program, each grade level presented the different Philippine Festivals in the Field Demo presentation such as the Ibalong Festival, Sun Flower Festival, Buwa-buwaan, Sinulog and the Peñafrancia Festival. At noon time, Pista sa Laco was held as students ate together with their fellow students and their advisers. In the afternoon there was a Medical and Dental Mission organized by the school clinic with the help of the junior and Young Medics Club. There are also a student’s fair with different booths prepared by the different clubs with their respective Club Moderators. During the second day, Janaury 31, 2019, the Speech Fest was spearheaded by the Communication Arts Club in cooperation with the Consolinian Staff that happened in the morning. In the afternoon until evening, a cultural show was presented, a Matinee and gala show wherein it served as the highlight of the whole 70th year Foundation Anniversary of the La Consolacion College of Rinconada Iriga Campus. This has marked the legacy of the school through the showcase of talents of its students.
